Passionnément’vin: A Private & Independent Sommelier
Although not very common in Switzerland, the idea of an independent private sommelier is all the rage in the United States. It is the French adaptation of an Anglo-Saxon concept: the “Private Sommelier.”
A professional sommelier’s knowledge and expertise are brought into the private sphere, along with many services that businesses use for wine-related events and activities.
It’s a unique, innovative concept that explores the many facets sometimes little-known of the person in a black suit, distinguished by a grape-cluster pin, who traditionally moves from table to table at a restaurant to serve you a fine wine: the person commonly known as a sommelier.

A Sommelier at Your Fingertips
A fully personalized service for every kind of wine-related activity and tasting. As a private, independent sommelier, he is there only where and when you need him.
Passionnément’vin offers a range of options for anyone wishing to discover wine, deepen their knowledge or explore the world of wine in a simple, modern way. For example:
He creates unique, tailor-made experiences for you, whether you’re looking for something personal or planning a group outing. Each experience is designed around your wishes and needs, so you can treat others or yourself.
He connects you with a network of carefully selected, qualified partners who can simplify your planning and help make your corporate events a success.
He shares his knowledge and expertise to help you excel in your field, working alongside qualified, recognised professionals in Switzerland. This service is for establishments without an in-house sommelier that would like to benefit from a sommelier’s advice and services.
He supports winemakers, for whom the sommelier acts as a bridge between the wine and the taster.
And finally, Passionnément’vin is also busy preparing a host of surprises for this new vintage. As you may have gathered, Passionnément’vin is an emotion-stirrer who loves making it easier to discover wine and all the wonderful things it has to offer—to make moments of enjoyment even more special, bring people together and create unforgettable memories.
Often confused with an oenologist, a sommelier can be involved in the various stages after the wine has been bottled. An oenologist simply put, the wine’s doctor works throughout the stages leading up to bottling.
